President Donald Trump said Iran could face "far greater" attacks if it does not make peace with Israel and the United States.

Trump made the comments in the East Room of the White House just hours after he announced that the United States had bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, which U.S. ally Israel previously attacked.

“Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace,” Trump told the nation. “If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.”

Trump said Iran has called for death to Israel and America for years. He has previously said Iran can't be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

“There will either be peace or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days,” he said. "Remember, there are many targets left. Tonight's was the most difficult of them by far, and perhaps the most lethal."

"But if peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed and skill," he said. "Most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes."

"There's no military in the world that could've done what we did tonight," he said. "Not even close."
